   Pat,

   Is there any way you can find out where a William Whitford, who died in 1957 at age 82, is buried here in NZ?
   He's the right age for the William I've been looking for and if I can pinpoint the cemetery, maybe it will help me prove if he's the one I'm looking for.

   Unfortunately there is no mention of this burial on the NZ burial index disc, maybe he was cremated. There i however one William WHITFORD with no year of death or age at death. This burial is at the Lyttelton Aglican cemetery which does not have any on line search function. Lyttelton being on the outskirts of Christchurch.

   Thank you for your response re my grandfather, Walter Henry Dein. The Rosebrook entry could refer to my Uncle perhaps, who married Irene Annie Sargeant, on 7 August 1942, in Melbourne, Victoria. He adopted Irene's daughter, Shirley Carolyn, born 1941, and was father to Beverley Irene, 1945, Lorraine Grace, 1947, and Walter James, 1951. I cannot be sure if he is one and the same, but have no details of his wherabouts in 1936. I certainly appreciate you research on my behalf, and hopeful that one day, I might find the information I have been seeking. I have tried to follow a PNG lead, to date, without success. Yvonne
